Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

14m at gentle pace - felt OK, considering I haven't done more than 10m for about 3 months

16m lsr for me today. Started cooler then usual, felt like summer is on its way out. Was a nice out and back along the canal, though a little bored by the end and ready to finish. Now worried how I'll cope on my 18 and 20 mile runs without getting totally bored....

No run, sniff. Trying not to panic. First marathon in just under 3 weeks and I've got horrible pain in the arch of my right foot. Physio appt booked for Wednesday but till then I think it is best to keep off it. Sucks so bad. I've only down 2 long "prep" runs and one was terrible but there isn't any more time to squeeze in a long one before marathon day as I need to start to taper.

Suck, suck, suck, suck.

BTW, Welcome Slowcat. If you are bored try to mix it up a little - stick in some pace work or vary your route.

mostly a cracker, round an old favourite route in Leam Spa, alongside the mighty river Leam, decentish pace for me, conditions as close to perfect as it can be. Not many people about.

7 miles through the woods, with gorse bushes tearing my legs to bits. And it pissed down. Great fun

5.7 miles - longest I've done since I sprained my ankle a month ago. Lovely sunshine, coolish, woodland paths, back roads and field edges. Lovely!

Thanks trigirl, don't usually get bored and thinking it was the route...out and back not my favorite especially along the canal that I know too well...but trying as I have signed up for a mara that is out and back but am hoping a race and unfamiliar route won't be so boring.
