Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Warm 6.5 miles this evening on legs still a bit tired from 25 miles on the bike this morning. Surprised by how fast I was able to go for the HR. Fitness gains are lovely aren't they?

nice one today; 15k. But I have a pain in my foot and couldn't sleep for worrying about it! It is a kind of ache along the right side of my right foot, underneath the joint of my pinky (more or less). It feels like a bruise but there is nothing to see. Terrified I have overdone it. It's worse in bare feet but actually not too bad running with my trainers. I daren't ignore it, but I daren't find out what it is, either. Google says scary things.

todays run was quite cracking, if a little bit tough, ground travelled over was quite uneven, rocky, a couple of steep bits, some boggy bits, some overgrown footpaths and bridleways, some interesting map reading, all in all quite good.

Much better than expected :) 4.3 miles with my son, then I dropped him off at home and did some loops around town to make my run up to an hour.

So, Ive my favourite half at Glen Clova in 10.5 weeks. Been lazy recently, but have started goin to the gym. Did 7 treadmill miles @8.30's last week then an hour on the exercise bike. Tonight I did 6 miles @ 8's then a decent hour on the bike. 28.2 km. I know if I just went outside for a run, I'd never come in n go out for a 17 miles bike ride straight after. Just trying sumfin different to get fitter before cranking up the runs. Any thoughts on the benefits? As the weeks go on, the runs will very quickly go up in distance, but Im enjoying this new approach.

LS, I ran a respectable time (for me) at the Keswick Half earlier this year off lots of cycling and just enough running to remind my legs of what they had to do :)

8.7 miles for me today. Pleasant morning, quite enjoyed it but it's not like riding a bike. Still got time to get a couple of ten-milers in before the Great Cumbrian Run, if I can be bothered run

5 easy early miles done. Dark start but lighter by the time I finished. I wonder if I'll keep up these morning sessions once it gets dark and cold and rainy and wintery? I hope so.
