Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well, I reckon this combination of runnin' n cyclin' is working. Tuesday I did 6 miles at 8's on the treadmill then 28.2km in an hour on the exercise bike. Tonight I felt good n did 7 miles at 8's, then 29.3km in my hours cycling. Still 10 weeks til Glen Clova. Plenty time to up the mileage n do hilly outdoor runs.

10.8 mile training run that has left me on a high. It went far better then anticipated and gave me the confidence that I can achieve a PB in my forthcoming marathon :-)

Fun doing fartleks with the club in the woods but got nasty nettle sting on my left hand, when I tried to grab something (said nettle) as I slipped crossing the stream...

bum. definitely stlil pain in the little toe joint (not so much running but felt it afterwards) so I have downgraded Sunday's race from half to 10k. Woke up so early I managed to sneak in a bike ride too and fixed up the sizing and cleats on my borrowed bike. Then got home at 8.30 to find younger son still in pjs and not finished breakfast (while doesn't-try-boy was on his bloody computer!) Instant loss of sports exhilaration :(

Should have been a nice easy 15 minute loosener ahead of Sunday's tri, but just served to show me where all my aches and pains are!

A nice little run over the local hills, weather absolutely cracking, a few people about. Calmed me right down.

Yesterday actually.

Third run back since PF. Feet were a bit achy and stiff and heel was sore when I got home. Not a great run but OK. 4 miles home from work on mainly grass.

Went out with friend for drinks and hobbled to pub loo then hobbled back to her car. Felt fine when I got home and walked around the lounge a bit.
