I remember going running with a Garmin eTrex in my hand, before I even knew of the existence of these watch-sized devices! One of the advantages of being a geek and a geocacher I was using GPS even before they switched off selective availabilty (would have been fun to complain about race distances in those days!)

My 620 was sick and went back to Garmin in exchange for 30% off a 245. still have a 610 as well - non-responsive last time I tried to charge it.

I've always managed to sell my old one when buying a new one, either to friends or eBay. My progression through the Garmin inventory has been :- 610 - 910 - VivoActive 1 - 230 - Fenix5 - Fenix6 |

I've only had 3 garmins: 405, 620 and 935. Still have the 405, but its minus a strap because the pin lug has broken so can't have a strap fitted. I sold the 620 on ebay. The only reason I got rid of it was because I wanted a watch with navigation on it. 935 still going strong. |

I 'met' my fiancee around 5 years ago due to our mutual use of 305's. She was wearing one in an online photo and my first message to her was to ask if it was still working? ... ! |

larkin - I can remember when I first started geocaching years ago as a family we were 'old school' and plotting the location using the grid reference... We still managed to find a fair number before actually getting a basic etrex...

I’ve had two 305s one 610 and now a 735 The first 305 was broken on holiday when I think sun tan lotion interfered with the copper connections. The second 305 I had to stop using as it didn’t hold its charge for more than a dozen miles. The 610 developed a habit of randomly losing satellites including at Mile 11 of the Chester marathon. |

Sigh
10 mins on my spreadsheet, with a bit of data checking on Garmin Connect, and voila! FR410 & FR220 both went to Fetchies. The FR235 is back in its' box (my backup watch!) and the FR245 is on my wrist. |
