1st lady (my first ever HM win!). Delighted with not only a win but a post-baby pb and second fastest time ever. Slight drizzle today so wet underfoot but otherwise perfect conditions. Was lying 5th until half way when I started to make my way through the pack, leading from about mile 10
Aim was to try and treat it as minimum of marathon pace run but felt a bit brighter and held a reasonable pace. Bit of confidence to regroup for glasgow and not as bad as I thought I was!!
Conditions were ideal for me today but didn't run as well as I feel have been lately and ended hugely disappointed. It was a pb but some way off what I feel capable of - Fuck it!
Drizzle for most of race and little/no wind other than wet underfoot almost perfect race conditions. Wasnt sure of shape prior to race, hoped for a 1:25 something as likely best to expect. TBC official time but think around 1:25:10. Felt pace was "reasonably" comfortable for most of race, got tougher to keep pace nearer the business end but that will come. Not the usual tummy troubles, pacing pretty good and no stitches. Job done, now onwards.
First race in 9 months. Wet but not much wind, excellent organisation! Didn't have high expectations but HM PB & sub 1:50 to boot!!!
Raced as part of Berlin Marathon training with no taper and very tired legs.
Could not attend - had the flu!
Went really well, mucho pleased. Felt strong and controlled all the way. Exceeded target time by 1 minutes and passed two girls in the last mile. An improvement of nearly 4 minutes since Dunfermline, heading in the right direction.
