Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Had an enjoyable day at Tatton Park for MACCL today. Didn't pull on my spikes as had a poor easy run last night with a tight hamstring / ?piriformis? but the rest of my family did. A good course, hope they retain it for next year.

^ I missed maccl due to chest lurgy since nyd.

Glad to hear it's a good course, would you say Spikes would be the better choice?

Well done Larks, good to be cautious

I did brum div 3 round 3 having ridden national cx champs in the morning.

It was a trail run with 90% plus of the field in trail shoes(never got the memo) oh well off a very casual start I ran progressively and only really work hard in the last mile as the people I caught by this point were solid runners and I decided to keep the points.

That's my season over now with road goals to focus on from here.

Trail or spikes would have been fine, but I just didn't run at all. It's good firm ground, a couple of muddy trenches residually for the seniors, but normally I'd have thought trail shoes would be fine there.

TBH, being good and cautious was a perfect option! I'm not normally good at that. But had I taken my trail shoes with me, I might have tempted myself to run.

Thanks Larkim, if I get there next season I'll take Trail Shoes unless it has been rainy season. Ta.
