Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Managed a 44th in the junior men's. Happy with that considering I spent almost a week out ill :)

OMGawwwd toughest mud ever. Not even remotely fun. Lost a spike in the race and fell flat on my face. Still best finish in the nationals and largest field ever so okay, but I lost so many places after falling it was horrendous.

Really enjoyed Parliament Hill today. Muddy, but runnable (except when everyone suddenly stopped about 5 times in the 1st 1.5M). A real honour that our sport means we can take part in an event which was 1st run almost 150 years ago before Test Match Cricket, Rugby League and The Football League existed!

Our final league race was a total mudfest! A very hard 5 miles but I managed to sprint for the finish and overtake a Helsby runner - we made areal race of it, she threw up afterwards & I thought I might die for a few seconds. Daft really, couldn't make any difference in the scheme of things!!

Mave
Last XC of the season today. Was good fun, sunny and a good route partly along the tops of chalk cliffs by the seaside, partly across fields and through woods. Very varied, very undulating. The wind was insane though! Brought us to a standstill at some places!

Took 2 runners with a sprint finish, so I'm pleased with that.

I must admit I am glad to have packed my spikes away - but pleased to have run all 6 of the league races this year. I do feel I have benefitted from the training too.

AL six fixtures is massive. You will get great training benefit from that. Getting back on the road was such a relief this weekend.

Got an xc next weekend buts inter club and dryish course that we often train on. No spikes needed which is good.
