Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

English schools was horrible today! Didn't run too great at all - I hated it! Was soo muddy, but I'm happy for once that a national xc event was a proper xc race.

Now, is it just me or is that whenever you do a race (which has been your goal race for such a long time), you go in to to a depression for a few days after? It was hard for me to get into a good mindset today.

Anyway, buzzing for the track season now - I can relax this evening and eat 'junk', and will take it easier this week. Then I expect next week, it will be back to usual!

It's time!! First fixture of N Staffs league for me tomorrow. 18 degrees and sunny doesn't quite seem right but it will be good to get back in to it....

oi you
I don't suppose the weather there has been too much different to ours, but the ground is like rock at the moment. Probably a job for road shoes.
Kent League starts next Saturday - can't say I'm filled with excitement. I haven't really run properly for 3 months now but I'll turn out to give it a go. It's what we do, ain't it?

Here in northeast England, a new course for everyone tomorrow. It's the Sherman cup, not really the xc league as it's a mass start(no fast/middle/slow packs).
Anyway, out in the sticks near Stanley(a place) tomorrow...

West Yorks League doesn't start until 20th Oct (when we start getting proper XC Weather ;-)), and it's all done by 1st Dec!

Peco League (local Leeds Club League) doesn't start until end of November, but does run later than most XC leagues, since it finishes in March.

I've tried to keep the momentum up over the summer with offroad races and parkruns so fingers cross I'll have a good run. Winsford isn't the greatest or most technical XC course but at least we get eased back in with a flat-ish one.

Fozz we have similar - N Staffs done by the end of Nov, Birmingham League starts mid Nov and ends in Feb. I'm also down for the Worcs / Midlands / National. Can't wait! :)
