Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Bazo - For someone who can run 1:27:xx in their first 12 months of running, 3:15 should be easy!! It took me 30 months to do it.

Superwoman good luck with Race The Train, quite a few of my club members are doing it but not me - maybe next year! Got a 10 mile race this Sunday instead.

A wee double today (was on hols last week so missed a couple of runs) - 5 easy at lunch time, then 13 this evening with last 4.5 at MP (7:19) Reasonably happy with that. None of it feels easy though - I'm hoping it's "train hard, race easy" type thang?! 8 weeks training to go. Hope it's enough! :-)G

Keep going Happy - your training will pay off on the day. You may be feeling it at the mo, but with the 2 weeks of tapering before the marathon you will feel ready for the pursuit of that sub 3:15 time.

My training was a little different today; ran 8M around local marsh with my dog, then later in the evening I attended my OHs 90 min boxercise class which she runs which also included a circuit training session and on completion of that I ran another 4M at MP (7mm). Needless to say I was pretty kanckered after all that and am ready for me bed now and damned good sleep.

Am going to need it as it is Kenyan Hills at threshhold pace for speed session tomorrow with my club.

Thanks Runa. I'm hoping so. Mmmm, taper... can't wait!

I wish in some ways that our club had a more active training element. Kenyan hills sounds horrible... and brilliant! I know the principle, but just can't imagine doing it without the motivation of some group to do it in/with.

4 miles easy at lunch for me, then X-train tonight (an hour of bodypump - at least it's different!) :-)G

I tried the club near me and all they did was short easy jogs, which is exactly what I don't need to join a club to do.

Paul - Well done on the PB on saturday and thats for a pacing, I think I would have been away of too hard if I wasn't running with you.

BS - It will come next time, still a great time. Looking forward to Longford? I can't wait for it to come round, mind i might not be saying that on the day lol

41miles for me over the last 3days made up on a 10mile race on Saturday, 8miles am and 8pm on Sunday and 10 last night, then WU and CD's. Trainings going well but hopefully I don't peek too soon as i am not following an specific schedule this time. Going for more long runs and less speed work.
