Guys I have a bit of fear as I usually trot out a load of twenty-twenty two milers and this P&D has me only doing 2.
Guess I have to trust that the other mid distance LSRs and the overall mileage is enough. I am very fatigued as I am not used to the distance, so we will have to see. As I say I do feel I have more stamina, but who knows?

Biastai, noting that your avg HR has reduced some what, and that your pace has been excellent of late during your LSRs I am sure that your training has gone well and as you have said you have developed good stamina. The key to feeling less fatigued may be in your nutrition and changing your diet slightly to take into account the extra mileage and the harder work you have put in.

Morning folks, just back from 2 weeks in Kalkan / Turkey - brilliant time and its a lovely wee Turkish fishing village type place.
Running was affected - the place is hilly and a bit hotter than I like for my running !. I ran about 9 times at around 6 miles each time - avge pace was around 9mm and that was me pushing it. I did one day crack out a speedy 8.30mm pace and was well chuffed with myself.
Not told the wife yet, but I might nip out this evening for a 15 miler !!!

Runamock - You are probably correct about the diet. I have made a little effort to increase the quality cals, but not considered it closely. It does deserve a better look. Cheers.

Going back a few pages...Me a wrinkly?! Ha ha! Obviously not looking too hot in my profile pic!! Still have a few years to go until I turn into a vet...
Was far too hot for running this weekend, but I did crack my 15miles at Draycote - drank 1 litre of Lucozade while doing it! Pace was about 8:30 average, which seems slow, but I am trying to see it simply as miles on my feet at the moment.
Anything over a 45 mile week does tend to take it out of me too Blistai (I don't do it all that often!). It's a nice tired feeling though, because you know you've worked hard!
Thinking about Paris Marathon for April 2010 (sorry if I'm repeating myself) - anyone else? I'm bored of London.

LL - Idid indeed manage my 15 miles, a full minute a mile faster than anything I managed in Turkey !!!
First long run in 3 weeks and I found the mental part quite tough once I got to 9/10 miles and could quite easily have given up The last 3 miles my legs were strating to tire a fair bit !
Traini8ng back to normal from this week ,will get 40+ miles in and then build up...

9.75M training run done this evening in the drizzle and wind. Ran with my dog, Rocky, and found it refreshing, even when he saw rabbits and tried to wrench my arm off in his pursuit of them!
Speedwork tomorrow night with my club; I think it is kenyan hills so it will be a tough one. Got the Isle Of Wight HM this weekend, the first of 4 HM before I race Abo. Going for a sub 1:30 HM there which will be a good benchmark especially as it is a hilly course.
Keep up the training folks, some excellent work being done and I look forward to reading of everyones successes in the near future.:-)
