I am considering Manchester but more thinking I might wait until autumn and consider York.

But, but, 18 week training plan starts on Monday, by the time January comes around I'll be 5 weeks in 😂

Baz, in case you're not following the MCR thread, Nelly reminded us today that price goes up by £10 after Tuesday, so decision to be made by then

Thanks Gus. That’s not a thread I follow. I actually thought they had closed entries. Maybe reopened. Think I have decided no spring marathon and just build back up.

Happy to get my first 20:xx post returning to parkruns this morning. Windy, but that might have actually been in my favour on this course today, but I'll pretend it was just sheer good running ;-)

Finding I'm naturally running to a progressive pace at parkruns at the moment, probably still feeling cautious about fitness and right leg, bit that does tend to make for a satisfying experience.

Still shorts and t shirt weather too :-)

Feeling a bit sore after that now, which is a shame. Rest day today, which is helpful given the icy conditions out, and then back onto the slower stuff again. Hopefully just a blip!

Right, looks like I have a race to target. The twice postponed Alloa half is now confirmed on 20 March 2022 and my 2020 entry rolls over.

Other than parkrun I havent raced since Abingdon 2019 :-O

As co-incidence would have it I reached 50mpw last week and am now ready to start to train more like I used to, but still taking it gradual in the build up.

Currently no plans for a Spring marathon and instead I might look to the HM that goes on the same day as Edinburgh marathon and instead target York in October.

Bazo in no spring marathon shocker!! 😱

I thought about a return to Alloa but it's to close to Manchester . Ideally I'd have to look for an early march or possibly February half if I was to go one.

Good to see you getting the miles in again, I've struggled in recent weeks to run at all between a holiday and having the plague. Hoping to get out later in another attempt to kick start marathon training.
