Thanks, RD! I'll need to do some more sums. I hate doing sums.

50.29 confirmed chip time. Didn't think I'd be anywhere near so super chuffed!

Fantastic, you got so close. Sub 50 is yours before long (I would say yours next time but knowing you your next 10km might have a mountain at half way or something).

Hey all! A few months since I updated so here goes. Have run two races since the British 10k time of 56:35 in July. Last month was a 52:33 so I was hoping the race yesterday would get me close to the 51 minute mark but sadly I actually came in at 53:55 It was a cross country course with a few hills so I guess I should still be happy with the time but sub 50 seems almost as far away as it did in July! Last run is Regent's Park in six weeks, which I have been told is pretty flat so maybe there is an outside chace of it (running sub 24 minute 5K's pretty regularly at Park Run). We shall see!
Good to see people getting good times in this thread, well done!

It's been ages since I dipped in here too. My current 10k PB is 51:50 which I did in May. Since then I've been concentrating on longer distances and finally got my sub 2 hour half marathon. I'd like to give sub 50 one last chance before the end of the year and there's a fast, flat race coming up in November. Looks like I have 5 weeks to sharpen up and give it a go.

I'm taking the 'soppy mileage' approach to my last 10k of the year (90+ miles in the last four weeks - huge by my standards even when HM training). I'll take a 52:00 to be honest.

So I'm joining this even though I'm a bit of a way off!
Im coming back from injury, before my injury this may have been possible. At the min I'm running 1 min/walking 1.5 etc so as not to reignite injury.
