Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Job done, Stu. Next stop 45 minutes?

That's a respectable amount of time to gain, Greppers. Well done to you too.

hmmmm ....my 5mile new PB of 41.07 makes my sub 50 look promising!! i have a 10k i want to do on sunday its one of the Movember running things but i emailed them it is a full 10k measured by them and re measured by the chip timing people so sounds promising (i was just checking that coz its a charity type run its not half a mile short like the RNLI one i did in the summer!)

Yes. I've decided that is preparing properly. A huge pile of curry and most of a bottle of red wine will be my pre-race preparation from now on :)

I'll be marathon training for the next six months so no immediate plans to lower the 10K time at the moment. I think sub 45 is some way off in any case. Hopefully will get there, though.

Did it, just! Ran the After Adoption Regents Park 10k yesterday, my last race of the year and the one I had targetted for a sub-50 since July. Went down with man-flu a few days before and according to my running mate sounded "goddawful" the morning of the race, but the course was really flat and conditions were really good for running. My Garmin refused to work for the first km of the race so I wasn't sure of my time until the website was updated this morning, but it gives my time as 49 minutes and 57 seconds :-)
