Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Early one for me, 6.30 with hubby. did the planned 5 x 400m in prep for 10k on sunday.... however! normally do the intervals at between 8 and 8.30 pace - this morning was between 7.25 and 7.35 pace!!! must have been the added competitiveness of simon doing his in front of me and jogging back. don't think i've ever run that fast for intervals. my fastest ever 1 mile flat out is 7.28, but that was 3 years ago! feel very pleased but exhausted, could have dropped off 3 or 4 times at work today.
legs etc all feel fine though! maybe my body prefers running faster! can't wait to see what this turns into on sunday at derby 10k, although it's a pretty horrid course, lots of twists, turns and little evil hills. plus congested in places. anyway - pleeeeased! :-)

Gonna be a complete nutter tonight. Run to gym (2.5miles), 45mins doing weights in gym, 1 hour circuits class (used as tempo run substitute), run back home. Someone needs to start a thread 'overtraining - why it's stupid, ultimately detrimental and how to reign back', coz I need help!
