Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

WOOP fopr your marathon, Toks! I've got my first at the end of September (loch ness).

I made a whopping (for me) and thoroughly enjoyable 20k (c) yesterday, from Genova downtown, along the coast road to Nervi and about half-way back (after which I took the bus as I'd done my 2 hours!). Another hour in this morning.

8 miles on Saturday morning - warm.
5 miles yesterday evening - a lot warmer and sweat pouring off me.
5 miles this morning - cooler but still hard going with the temperatures.

Can't seem to regualte my body temp properly. Not bad last year but this year, overheating too much.

Almost pain free, as JD & I put the world to rights on the beach on a gloriously fresh, balmy morning with the tide inching in :) :)

11.5 miles in sea fret with tired legs & general lethargy as I'd been up half the night ( it was hot so I opened the bedroom window, I forgot how noisy it was outside owl constantly hooting, dog barking, cars up & down! ) Got whacked round the shins by a dog carrying a plank of driftwood & nearly run over by a pushchair, otherwise it wasn't too bad.

A little cracker along a river bank, no one about except at beginning and at very end, varying ground conditions, but mostly dry :-)
