Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hugs, Teaboy, hope you start enjoying it soon.

Run today was really hard: we are in Genova and I was meant to run 60 min, 30 min of which fast but I just couldn't in the heat so ran it all a bit rubbish. On Thursday, I was on the Riviera and ran fartlek at 7pm. It was still 32 degrees and I came back and collapsed with a heatstroke :( 39'C fever, headache, dizziness and bathroom trouble. This has left me a bit scared to overdo it, but I don't want to take a total break as I am working up to my first marathon. So.. plan is to keep running but forget the "fast" bits. Tomorrow it's meant to be 2 hours "easy" so I'm setting the alarm for 6am and hoping it is managable.

Moving to Scotland on Tuesday so I suspect these problems are behind me. I've discovered I really love running in the snow!

You'll have to get high up to get the snow in Scotland ITG. ;)

I was in the Highlands a few weeks ago cycling in the blazing sunshine ... but a snow-capped hill/mountain was pointed out to me as we were cycling along.

brilliant, sandy trails, rocky outcrops, beach, warm enough, clear sky, stunning scenery. Went by the ANZAC memorial on Mt Clarence overlooking Albany WA. It is just stunning. :-)

Nice gentle 2.5 miles in the heat just before supper. Long run tomorrow, so I didn't want to kill legs off.

Out before 8am in warm but fresh conditions: trails up to Burbo Bank, then back to the Baths on the beach & paths back home.
