Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

How was your run today?

Very jealous of that DT. Although not challenging I love Skiddaw and Latrigg. :)

Just over 10.5 miles for me, the furthest since the VLM.
Was in Hull in set out from St. Stephens with the intention of heading towards Hessle and the Humber Bridge but diverted after a couple of miles or so to do a short loop. Ended up running into Cottingham and due to a distinct lack of road signs, didn't really know where I was going. Eventually recognised one of the halls of residence and that didn't help much direction wise. The found a cycle path pointing to the city centre which took me around a hosuing estate with no mention of a cycle path after that and by some blind luck I eventually found another which took me out onto Anlaby? Road a mile or so from the KC Stadium.

At least I saw a load of horses, not a single bus on any bus route in a city on Saturday morning, two trains and found that Hull (and Stamford from being diverted through it off the A1 the other day) have no real directional signs beyond the town/city centres.

Still good run in which I cut my wrist due to my Garmin strap rubbing and had loads of blood all over my hand and splattered on my top etc for most of it. Not sure what people must have thought.

A glorious run, 7.1 miles, felt so smooth and effortless. I'm a very happy person :-)

Hot, sweaty and smelly in places. Just done the Bupa Gateshead 10k. That river Tyne stinks in places! New PB for me, but was desperate to get under an hour. Just missed it by 49 seconds. If only there hadn't been quite so many hills. Still smiling though. :-)

Awesome. I had a wonderful 7 mile run in the Penn Seven. Very nice local race with good local support. :-)
