5.2 miles at quite a canter for me - in self-referencing terms. Strong breeze driving the breakers onshore; Antony Gormley's 'Iron Men' once again resisting the forces of nature

Rather good. Professor Brian Cox joined me for a while. And Frank and Dave ran the last mile or 2 with me.

Quite chuffed with it. Definitely a "CBA to GID" (to coin a genius phrase from cavalryman's blog today, check it )
Anyways, aye. Just a gentle warm up and few 1km repeats to waken the legs up a bit and should hopefully be just right to set me up well for Friday night's 10k.
We shall see. But for now it's fitba and a cheeky beer. Can't believe the germans are 0-0 up already!

It was awesome; I thought it was about 10 k but mapped it out to be only 8 k. It was VERY hot though and my plan to plunge in the river was not as pleasant as anticipated as mosquitoes flew at me in vee formation...pretty sure they had a recon guy in a black hawk.
