Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Gentle amble round the Windermere Marathon course. Was beautiful. Cold and clear but no ice underfoot and only some light snowfall in the last few miles.

Gremlins came. They died.

13.1 miles of glorious PB running in sunny, still conditions in deepest darkest Essex.

Did 4 miles this morning... might do 4 miles tonight... see how I feel, I fancy splitting up my distance runs. I am think of doing this once a week say 6 mile and 4 mile or 3 mile and a 7 mile... is there any worth in this?

Really enjoyable and suprisingly easy hilly 7 miler - apart from the twat who drove right into my path - she didn't look the brightest.

No Mas - depends on what you're wanting to achieve and what you're training for.

No Mas depends as El sombrero says. No substitute for doing a long run as a long run, however if your free time is limited and spliting the run is the only way to get it all in fair enough.

No Mas, yes, if it means you'll do miles that you wouldn't do otherwise.

Two short runs won't give you the mental and physical training of the same number of miles run as a single session, but doing (say) two 45-minute runs can be less daunting to contemplate, and less hard on your body, than one 90-minute run.

Can't really tell if I enjoyed it or not, experience seems to be a good word, Did the Long Mynd Valleys Fell race, which involved some running, lots of walking, crawling and sliding. Yes it was brilliant. Shouldn't have stayed in the Nags head last night though!
