Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm afraid not Toks. Had the problem before, but fixed foc (despite being outside the warranty period). Rely heavily on training on the t/mill (rural location - can't go out on the roads running in the evening!).
"Old" treadmill pretty basic (though did the business) - didn't think it worth repairing - I've got a birthday coming up, so my wife said she would get it for me!

Toks,
Have just read the Treadmill manual again. From what I can see if the treadmill belt is sticking, the DIY fix it suggestions are to either tighten the belt (on mine there were 2 bolts either side of the back of the belt) or to lubricate it (I used 1/2 a can of WD40 spray). Neither worked for me - problem, in my instance down to the roller.
Hope that you get yours sorted - it's quite scary being thrown, unexpectedly, from the treadmill and its not nice not being able to trust your treadmill (is it going to happen agai?)

JB - I have no idea where all the paper work is, i have had it for almost 6 years now, strangely i have gone used to it now and i know roughly when it is going to happen and so i don't let myself get carried away while running, sad but true!!

would just like to chuck it away and buy another one!!

First time since my three week holiday that I have finished a run feeling strong enough in the last mile to put on a sustained push. Feels good to be back.

I expected it to be very hard today as I was very tired and not feeling particularly well. Today's run was 10 miles at marathon pace and tomorrow's run is 22 miles, which I must complete before 11:00am, so I can get to work on time.

Marathon pace is about 8:00 mins per mile for me, so I was going to allow myself to settle for an average of 8:15 mins per mile, because of the tiredness, but I actually managed 7:41 mins per mile without any problems, so I am well pleased.

An excellent morning in the gym for me :)

Began by running up hills for 30 minutes, and then hit the weights room and made the guys stare by squatting and deadlifting dumbbells nearly as big as I am :) Just as my legs were turning to jelly, I went through my back catalogue of advanced stretches from my ballet days, just to see if I still could.
