Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have to ask why that grinds your gears? 😁

Presumably because if you snake round every aisle you end up at the back not at the tills...

I would not have a clue how many aisles any of the supermarkets I go in have :-)

I don't go up every aisle so I've never noticed this :-)

Supermarkets that open to few checkouts, both manned and self serve at our Sainsbury are guilty of this.

[I don’t go up and down all aisle either]

I highly recommend the self scanning handset pack while you shop thing at Sainsbury’s Mrs Jigs. No queue there. Good for covid safety too as little dwell time at the tills and lower density of other people.

We have an odd number of aisles in our local coop. When they had a one way system during the height of lockdown it meant you had to double round an aisle you'd already been along to get to the final aisle

What drove me mad during the first lock down was people completely unable to follow massive arrows on the floor. Doesn't everyone shop like that?
