Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

London Championships today was a good race, if cold, at Parliament Hill. 10K with plenty of little testing hilly sections and pretty wet underfoot in places. Happy with 39:01 as I felt I was in control and had plenty left at the end. I am using these XC races to build some strength and form for the new year so I am wrokign hard to concentrate on running with some control.

Yeah - London x-country was good! First time for me on Parliament Hill, so I enjoyed my run out. Very short 6k for us gals!! Not that i was complaining at the end tho. :-) Apparently the driest they've had for ages on the course (leaving aside the boggy bottom bit) - so short spikes were definitely the way to go.

Yup MXH! *Short*! If it wasn't for the obligatory swap down at the bottom by the bathing ponds, I'd have been reaching for the Inov-8s.

And HOD - thanks, things are good. Took a few weeks off *completely* after the Chicago debacle - so just coming back to training now. Plan is to do pretty much every x-c in sight for the next month or so to build strength, then back on the gas again for London. :-)

I've never run there when it's been anything but a mudbath, usually it doesn't matter what length you have in as it is so deep.
