Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ran a minute slower than my couse best at Cumbernaud :-(. It's the only course I get slower in every year. Didn't seem to affext you too much twopies?

I can't say I enjoyed it RichyC, but it's proper Cross Country. Without the wind, that would have been fun ;-).

Did anyone else fall down the huge hole in the middle of the course?

I didn't enjoyed my run, however it is the first "proper" cross country race i've ran in about 4 years. Without the wind & heavy rain it would have been fun.

One of my clubmates fell down the hole (either knee-deep or ankle deep), can't remember exactly was he said, but he said it with a wry smile. This particular course in Cumbernauld Park is hard to judge what pace/time your going to run in, the weather (wind & amount of rain) is the biggest factor. Out of the 5 times i've ran this exact course (my course best is 15:55, my course worst is 18:44). Thats a difference of 2:49!, that is considerable over a distance of 4K. My times on this course are:-

2002: 18:44
2003: 15:55
2005: 16:11
2006: 17:37
2008: 18:16

I'm glad I opted not to partake in a wet windy run around Cumbernauld... club can't seem to get a female xc team on the go at the moment...shame.

Never been one for the mud anyway!
