SFNEHL started well with a tough course but a decent run for me. However the second fixture was cancelled last week due to bad weather. Mainly because the field used for parking was flooded. 2 weeks to the next fixture.

Parking was the issue at Woodbank, from what I could read of the AGM minutes WS. A real shame as that is a really excellent course and venue overall, but I think as the League has grown its presenting more issues for local residents etc. Looknig forward to the two new venues, though it's a shame it doesn't look like we'll see Boggart back any time soon. At least we don't have to run Kenworthy Woods twice again this season - it's a good venue from access / parking point of view, but a bit of a dull course!

Yes. Woodbank is a proper course. I have lost count of summer runs up and down there..it is muddy enough then.
Tatton looks a bit flat on the face of it but with a bit of thought there could be a good undulating run. Plenty of cake opportunities after too.

There's more undulation in Tatton than you might expect - I suspect it would feel a bit like Sherdley Park, St Helens - no one big climb, but continually rolling, though it depends where they stick the course.

I know, I ran the 10k there, back in April, last decent run I had, I was very close to a pb, the uphill road out to the edge of the park did for me by half way. That and the windy weather.
I imagine that they will have the parking out the back, but hopefully the run itself in front of the house, that would make it decent enough.

First of the district XC races on Sat was ace. It was relays - 4 x 4km for the gents. I was miles off pace, but consider it a decent bloomin workout. I'm sure XC helps with flat racing later. Muddy good fun!  G
