rhb Nov 2019 11:14pm, 7 Nov 2019 1,344 posts	rhb I should be at Kenworthy but have developed a streaming head cold since this morning. If it clears by Sat and hasn't touched my chest then I hope to run as it's <1 mile from home & one I enjoy on trails I regularly run on.
SPR Nov 2019 8:19am, 8 Nov 2019 29,648 posts	SPR Bham Div 3 will have a mudfest tomorrow as Div 1 will be running on the same course in the morning and then the Midlands Div 2 women in the afternoon before the Div 3 men get a go.

Looking forward to Burton Dassett tomorrow in terms of the overall event and atmosphere but not expecting great things running-wise as I've done no specific xc or hill training and have had a month of not that much since my target autumn race! Expecting a bit of a Baptism of Fire!!!
SPR Nov 2019 8:32am, 8 Nov 2019 29,649 posts	SPR Yeah Coundon which is a course that gets muddy with just one race on a wet day. It is flat though so mud is good to raise the difficulty level.
clare1976 Nov 2019 8:53am, 8 Nov 2019 4,243 posts	clare1976 I liked the Coundon course last year, as you say it's not that hilly (which suits me!) but it will be very churned up tomorrow as you say which will make it fun. There are several bottlenecks in it which makes holding the Div 1 race earlier the right thing to do as it certainly couldn't accommodate all the runners from D1 and D3 at the same time!

SPR Nov 2019 9:16am, 8 Nov 2019 29,651 posts	SPR Clare - Suits me as well as I can run more aggressively. I had my best XC race in Div 1 there in Jan 2017. Highest I've ever finished and the Jan race usually has deep field as it's a uni BUCS selection race.
