Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Agree that Mudclaws are good. Personally I prefer spikes but thats a speed thing - if you look at the top 100 at the Nationals then I'd think 99 would be in spikes. But for Sunday club races that often have rougher courses (roots, steps and shiz), Mudclaws are pretty good.

Carlos I think you are probably right about those numbers. I'd be interested to try out some spikes to see how they are but I'm too chicken to buy a pair. A few people at the club have worn them in the past and have blisters / calf issues as a result.

Most of our courses are full of shiz so mudclaws are great. :)

I worsened my calf achilles & plantar probs with spikes. I love how low profile & light they feel but the lack of support just doesnt work for me. I also found an advantage on the really muddy courses with mudclaws as spikes just couldnt handle all the mud!! :-o

Spikes are da bomb! If you can cope with racing flats you can cope with XC spikes. I love mine like I loved my first bike and I loved that more than I loved my first girlfriend.

The spikes sound like something my achilles and calf would hate.

Want some Mudclaws now, but my road shoes are wearing out and need replacing. Can't afford both - boo hoo. Anyone bought some size 9.5/44 Mudclaws and found they are too big/small and would like to rehome them??!
