Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

OK two people have said it was cold today, I feel less of a wuss now. :)

Your D1 lot were at ... Cofton Park SPR? Another course that has evaded me. Don't think I'd make the InterCounties ;) so guess I'll have to wait to do it in a league fixture.

Cofton Park is a great undulating course. The women don't do the first fixture any more, so they'll have to change the order for you to do Cofton, or Bournville (or us) would have to get relegated :-o

Perry Park is the course we're doing with you this year.

Cofton was my first XC race in Jan 2008 as well, I missed the start by quite a bit, lol

Great photos SPR :) I thought the Ladies were at Sandwell Valley next, then lastly that well known part of Birminghamshire, Cheltenham(!)

My first one was Leek in the N Staffs league. Baptism of fire, it's the worst one hill wise that we do. I came back for more though.

Oh it's that time of the month again when I go through a period of pain and misery, it can only be... the next xc league fixture.

Tomorrow's course features over 5 miles on a venue that has been so badly damaged through rainfall that the whole course has been changed. I am not race fit I'm basically walking into hell, except it's worse cause it's not even hot. Needless to say I'm lacking motivation.

So it seems. I incorrectly assumed the order was 3, 2, 1

Nope. I thought I'd run a lot of XC courses but in the Birmingham Womens this year all but Leamington are new to me.

I want to run Sandwell, but we are co-hosting the D3 fixture at Droitwich on the same day and if we need Marshals then I might have to do an AM parkrun and help out there instead.

Joan from our club says Sandwell is "a good course" which means its probably hilly and fairly horrific.
