Okay seen the results now, 33 in my division (46th overall but both divisions run together), but more importantly my club team was 11 out of 40 which is good for us!
I won my under 15 race at Abingdon (Oxford league) - Was 4th overall with the under 17's.. seemed quite average but on reflection I wasn't beat by any mucks...
Also turned out that the course didn't suit me -- haven't done much anaerobic work so explains why I couldn't churn out a fast kilometer and my hill speed is lacking.
An inter-county event between: Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire Kent, Middlesex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Surrey and Sussex.
Different quality to races I've ran in but will be interesting to see how I place with some of the top (7 of the 90 field placed in the top 15 UK 1500M / Inter-counties xc.
Will aim for a top 8 finish.. but as I said I don't know what to expect.
Anyone else got any races planned over this weekend?
North East xc Championships for me tomorrow. Not feeling very well prepared after lots of very sloooooow running recently as a result of bad weather. Ah well, maybe I'll just have 'fun' eh & bimble round!
I've not run there but I've been doing a bit of research and it looks like a reasonably flat parkland course with a short wooden section with a hill in it.
Several vids on youtube of the Met Laegue fixture there in October, which will give you a good idea of what to expect. Link to one of them here
