Well done Callum, as always on muddy courses I struggled and I didn't help my cause by falling early on not quite as early as yourself Callum, managed to spike myself in the left knee as I went over.

I think a lot of people got spiked (and fell over!) I wasn't expecting the course to be so undulating and narrow either.
Although ironically, I think it was a good course - had most of the elements of a proper xc course imo.

Seriously muddy & cold North Eastern xc champs for me. Veeeeeeeeeery slow progress, lots of clarts, lots of slips, lots of hysterical laughter! It may well be my slowest xc race ever but I loved it! How can something so ridiculous not be fun!

Good running everyone!
Leek XC was horrible, it always is, but in a good way. The mud of previous weeks + monster hills = slow pace
Saw the traditional Leek views, including the juniors crying, passing out and crawling on hands and knees up the hill. The Seniors weren't much better!
I may have scraped 5th v35 in (its a small league!) but the main thing is I turned out to all of them in the same season

Good running everyone and nice race report Callum.
Ellis trophy yesterday in Richmond Park, an invitational team race race hosted by my club. Recent dry cold weather meant the ground was pretty firm here unlike Callum and mx had. It was first 10 men to score and I managed to sneak into the last scoring place in the race. That was my target and made harder by the fact that many of the fast boys from my club did turn out so very pleased with my performance.
Hopefully, Curly45 will come along to report her performance in the equivalent women's race soon.:-)

Well done Callum Brilliant running as usual!
I ran the women's inter-club yesterday and won Which is as surprising to me as it is to you lot no doubt. A load of fast Serpies turned up, but I led from the gun and was able to hold them off which got me a nice gold medal for my troubles and some club silverware as it was our XC champs too. Sadly despite my best efforts we didnt win the interclub trophy though so that will go to Serpentine as soon as we can find it
Hope it goes well Chiefy!

Its okay - a friend strapped, just some slight pain under the foot now when I first start walking. Off to work now which is 4 hours on my feet, then have long run so will see how it holds out as have South of The Thames 7.5 next Saturday!!
