120th at the met league for me was a bit disappointed. You need to feel strong when the conditions are tough and I was lacking that today.
Love the course and the day out though, I wish winter would slow down as it seems like its nearly over already!

Sorry about your perceived poor run last weekend Will!
Mob match for me yesterday, which was 7.8m around a very wet Richmond Park, including Spankers Hill twice
Had a little wobble at the end of the first lap and lost two places to the opposing team but worked really hard and got them back near the finish and just held them off. Was 12th for the club so a scoring position too which is nice (first time I have scored in a mixed event without weighting for female athletes). Club retained the trophy too

Yeah didnt feel so good at the time - mentally a bit tired I think. XC does take a lot of concentration since there isnt the same pace targets as road races. Anyway we get a break now until 5th Jan and the Surrey County XC
When is your next one?

We have The Only Hill in Cambridgeshire on the Wimpole Estate parkrun course. It's short but steep. I wanted to have everyone run up and down that about 40 times but it would have been unnecessary cruelty. Ho hum...
The Cambs County Champs are in Priory Park and it's one of those awful courses which is relentlessly up and down and you get no rest at all. I hated it last year but I wasn't race fit. I'm not going to make the same mistake this year.

Skipping the Champs this year, but doing the league race the week after. Didn't think racing on consecutive weekends was a good idea this year due to fitness, and missing the champs saves the club some money.
