It's county championship weekend for many counties!
Whose doing what and when?
I'm doing the joint Bucks and Beds champs on Saturday- I think I've found a bit of good form as long as I can shake this stiffness away; I've got 48 hours to recover now anyway!

Good luck Callum! I'm doing Surrey County - hoping for a top 50 finish (I was 34th I think in the recent Surrey league race, but I know standards will be higher).
Its a nice "technical" (read proper hilly) course so should play to my strengths, but I am quite tired at the moment so will try and keep the first lap easy and push on the second. I always plan than but it never happens

Yes, I've heard some mixed reviews about Croydon (I think that's where the Surrey champs will be held)?
Also will Gorecka be doing it? She sometimes does!
The course for Bucks & Beds champs is situated in Milton Keynes - from what I'm told there are a few artificial things to negotiate with. To be honest, I take any course I'm given but haven't got around to doing too much hill work this season so would prefer a speedy, flat course.
Hoping to win my Bucks champs (haven't ever got one of their medals), and aim to come 2nd overall. There is an international Beds athlete who realistically should be about 15-20 secs ahead of me.. but other than that will be a good race.
I've felt my Morton's neuroma again today which is a bit concerning - but am cold free and my current form compensates for that.

Cambs at Priory Park in St Neots. I was 105th out 108 last year. I have really got to do better than that.

I am hoping to avoid being a DNS for the second year on the trot at the Norfolk champs on Sunday.

Herts for me on Sunday. Crossing fingers that everyone else gets lost or decides to stay at home!

I came 2nd for Buckinghamshire; 3rd overall. I was very naive about how I went about the run today; I felt certain what I was going to do and I didn't give my competitors the respect they required. As a consequence, I was beaten well.
The course didn't suit me, it was constant up and down and my rhythm was disrupted early on. As I said for some reason my legs were stiff and going up an incline was really hard. I'm somewhat perplexed despite all this with my performance today... my training has been optimal and I have been running very well. I got a medal which will be on show for the night, but will not go into the cabinet.
The Bucks team is looking strong however, and I think if we get our best team out in the Uk champs, we can come top 3..

Oxford league tomorrow - the course is much better to my liking - relatively flat with a long, gradual hill. I never run poorly on these courses - I have a feeling that I will run well tomorrow, I just don't want to be naive again - I just need to work my way into the race... pressure is off me, it's all on my competitors.
How did everyone else go?

Yes I did actually.
I don't have any false interpretations as to my current ability at the moment.. and moreover if I were to continue racing well, if wouldn't feel like an achievement after all.
And if I can have a run which is well below my ability, why can't I have a run which exceeds my expectations and is well above my ability?
