Agree, you look like to be absolutely in the sub 19 ballpark there @larkim. Maybe something around 18:45 ought to be doable tbh. I’m gonna have a pop at sub 19 next Tuesday evening. On Sunday I was a last minute call up to our 12 stage team and had an absolute stinker that I can’t really explain. It was pretty humiliating to jog the last km at 7 min/mile pace while others strutted around displaying their Olympic rings tattoos. Fortunately, I think everyone realises that my time at those kind of events is no over. Thank god. Let’s not be put off though and head down for next week! |

That's a weird outlier given your recent Battersea time etc. Ah well, those sorts of runs happen from time to time. Onwards!

I am going backwards. Felt off it from the warm up. I have had a sore throat all day and yesterday had some stomach issues so there may be something going on It was a bit blustery and as it was home from work I had a punch round my waist that kept loosening |

Had to think. Pouch was probably the intended word. Phone wallet, AirPods, work pass and keys in it.

Felt like I had been punched and ran like it also.

I think I'm going to be having another crack at a sub 19 in between this marathon block and the start of the next one. Loosely got an 8-week threshold improvement plan in place between marathons, so it would seem like an opportune time to hit this one up again. I'm feeling like I'm in the right ballpark already so...

18:39 for me this evening. Managed a nice progressive run and was never really under any duress which is a rare thing over 5k. Perhaps means I left a bit out there but tonight was about getting a good run in. Happy. Now that’s a rarity!
