Oh Lordy :-o that puts McG aversion to men in boaters playing banjos to shame
I read HoS 25 years and can't remember it at all - I'm trying to limit the re reads but it gets such marmite reactions not to remember it seems a bit shameful. I looked at the Levi and pondered but I think I'll go HoS

Fierce and Fearless Fleecy
I once saw David Copperfield over 2 or 3 nights, that was brilliant though.
Kind of stalled on my book, I find lots of short stories a bit meh. And you don't feel like you've properly finished do you?

I'm spinning out Empire of the Sun as I haven't got my next book lined up yet. I'm also scared to get to the end even though I know the ending, because I don't want to leave Jim on his own. Weird.

Finished What we talk about when we talk about love. Literally the only good story in there was the title story! The others were ok but too short. Like really 'what is happening and who are these people and oh, it's finished' short. The title story was much longer and you got the context.
Right, I've lost track of years now: 1982 I think

Oh I love Raymond Carver, Fleecy.
But then I also really like short stories.
