Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have read lots of Vonnegut, years and years ago which are very good indeed. Also Fowles. Watershed Down, that's a good idea! I have The Sea, The Sea around here somewhere which I may or may not have read.

Watershed! Ha. I found The Sea, The Sea, it is in the bookcase in the hallway where unread books go to retirement, it's next to a Camus and a Ford Madox Ford.

I was going to read The Sea, The Sea but it just looked too long when I found it in the library. I went for Larry Niven instead but this was a pretty bad and dated sci-fi which I can't recommend!

A big gap since my last one and because I have to do my choices in order. I found 1986
hard
But ended up with A Dark-Adapted Eye by Barbara Vine

It was good

1987 next but not yet but soon I hope
