Small rolled up towel in a tube to mimic a racing cycle seat. Just enough to take the edge off the sit bones. Only ever used it for marathons though.

5,000m to warm up and turn the legs over with some bursts, then 4 x 750 m with 2-min rests. Instrux - repeat pace of 500m reps a few days back and DO NOT GO ANY FASTER ... but I still turned in slightly faster at 1:59.9 vs 2:00.6. Felt okay, although I have put myself on the naughty step nonetheless.

Only a small increase, I doubt that's a bad thing.

No need to go on the naughty step for that, Muttley, unless the overall effort level was much higher on the 750s?

Back to the Pete Plan today with 8000m steady. The cushion is on order after that!

Ok, Ok, I know that the resistance follows a square law with speed (or is it a cube law? I forget). You did good though Muttley.

I am finding that it's difficult to cough and erg at the same time, so opted for another evening on the turbo with a The Big Bang boxset

The box set as punishment for not rowing then?

Back from an overnight away trip and a day in Nottingham for another Uni Interview (my daughter, not me. I'm just the taxi!) and I got out in the chilly shed and did 3 x 4km. Umming and ahhing about whether to get up and do an Early Crew 10k in the morning as the evening is planned as a weights session.

I'll probably get out there about 5:30 Mousey. Need to be done and gone by 7 to make my desk in time.
