Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Another 5 miles through the hills again, this time ending with strides. Normally, I do strides on a nice flat surface, preferably a football field, but this time I did them up a hill, then jogged back down.

'football field' is American for 'pitch'. ;-) I am such a colonist.

Marathon training started this week and trying to stick to schedule.

7 miles to run today & knew I could not do it tonight so managed to drag myself out of bed at 6am and do my first early morning weekday run.

Ran past local duvet factory as morning shift were going in, they looked at me as if I were from another planet.

Marathon training started this week for me as well :)

Plan said x5miles / 48 mins slow which I achieved, well marginally faster than I should have. Felt absolute cr@p though, legs are tired and heavy, feel sick now, goodness knows how I am going to manage a 5 mile race tomorrow! :(

Garmin didn't record mile splits correctly either! :(

Fortunately the niggly back seems to have settled down. Today's planner 12 miler turned into 11 but apart from a bit of stiffness my back was fine. Hadn't cut big enough holes in my new shoes so had some probs with rubbing and wee blisters but that'll be fine now I've wielded the scissors again!!
