Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Son is autistic, so those kind of plans don't work.

WR - can he ride a bike though?

My mates son is autistic and when he's not trying to beat the crap out of his brother or my son he does have periods where he can focus......

No, Charlie has very severe autism. Not safe to be out on own and needs at least 1.5 eyes on him at all time. Doesn't recognise the dangers of things like roads and cars etc.

My run yesterday sucked, big time, legs didn't want to work, felt like lead, and ended up doing half the distance I had planned, and walked a lot of that too. :(

But you went out though M4P didn't you? Better than staying at home and slobbing out, that's more miles under your belt and more time on your feet. :-)

Hoorah - kids to bed at 8pm so finally got out for a run. Did 9 miles slow and tried a bit of 20:1 run walk. Went quite well with my hip still strong towards the end. I won't really know whether it works until I try 17ish miles on it.

Just glad to get out really.

My run today was the hardest so far in my schedule as I finish the fourth week of marathon training.

Despite the heat (although I didn't run until 4:00pm) the 13 miles felt very tough. I didn't look at my watch until I finished and thought I might have gone over 2 hours, but it was actually 1:50 dead, so around the 8:30 minute mile mark, which was just a little bit too fast for this run. I should be running them at 8:45 to 9:30 minutes per mile.

I think my run was probably affected by the fact that I did a 25k row on Wednesday, which was in addition to my running schedule, and last Sunday I did a half marathon at marathon pace (8:00 minutes per mile) instead of the scheduled 8 miles at 8:45 to 9:30 minutes per mile.

I hope to be back on schedule for the coming week (except for the half marathon I am running on Sunday).
