Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've relented and changed my week to start on Monday, so I have only run 3 miles this week too.

I'll send you an FEmail sometime this week to see if we can arrange a long run sometime. It is made a little bit difficult by the fact that I work most Sundays, but I still get my long runs in anyway.

9 miles in the heat for me, just compared it to last weeks run -

Last week - only 2 miles over 10mins both uphill

This week - only 1 mile under 10 mins and almost the same route.

Just goes to prove what a difference the heat can make.

I wanted to do efforts at club tonight [not sure Hanneke would approve] no-one else wanted to do it so general run which was ok, 5.4 milese in 55mins, I am actually surprised my legs didn't complain after my 14 miles yesterday!

Far too hot and bothered to do my long run yesterday so went out this evening after drinking gallons of sports drink. My legs have now carried me 18 miles so I am rather proud of them, even though they are getting their own back by causing me some pain now. I'm managing to keep to a sensible steady pace though so things don't hurt anywhere near as much as when I started to run further.

Is it normal for the skin on the tips of my toes to start falling off?

Last night it seemed to cool down pretty quickly after 9pm, can you run later Disco? I assumed was going to be hot so overdosed on energy drink and felt rather sick.

Good today, too early to be too warm, but the sun was getting in my eyes. Might have to invest in a pair of runners' sunglasses, and a paper bag to put over my head so no-one can see me in them.
