Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Jono.
Good morning, 10k done, reversed course.

Fire activation at Guinea Gap baths this morning & a flurry of vintage trucks coming off the ferry at Birkenhead

Morning Jono!
Well done!
I’m got out “early” today too.
An easy trail run, that turned out to be quite pleasant before the heat started to come.

Good work everyone

No running today but so far 20 minutes of Piriformis Syndrome back calf hamstring exercises

Self diagnosed Piriformis Syndrome - symptoms etc fit and the stretching/strength work is helping.

Annoying thing is I feel the injury is self inflicted by changes I made a few weeks ago to my strength/conditioning work as some of the exercises I took out would have helped prevent the injury I have got now. I also changed the trainers I run in recently so will be going back to the old model on returning to running.

Reintroducing Yoga more frequently found a good one for the Piriformis that takes about 10 mins

Have a good day everyone

UltraDunc
Ran at ultra race pace with short walk breaks accompanied by a cacophony of songs from the birds. Greeted two hedgehogs in different areas and thought about upcoming race next weekend.

22°C at 10.30pm last night! 10 minutes of puffing & blowing and I got the tubes sorted out. Round the lakes to the radar tower; long stretch of beach before turning for home at Crosby Baths. 67 min. Almost ultra territory for me! ;)

Hot, slow and hard work, but the first one since April, so glad to get going again.
