Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Pleased to see you're back in action, Lip Gloss :)

Since becoming an OAP, I mostly run with a time in mind - mostly an hour of late - the coastal park & beach are so familiar that I can guarantee being within 2 or 3 minutes of that.

Another very high tide last night [9.5m] - enough beach from the docks to 200 yds past the leisure centre, when the waves were breaking over the prom :-o Heading inland, I 'enjoyed' whizzes, whooshes bangs & whistles in the night sky...for free! :)

Out early to get 10 miles in before parkrun with the kids. So a half marathon before 10am this morning.

Headtorch still felt too loose so ended up carrying it most the time.

A long run for a change, taken in a loop along disused railway and then alongside the bridgewater canal. Plenty of wildlife out there and also dog walkers but not as busy since the last time I went this way which was several months ago. A stiff fresh breeze but stayed dry, stopped in Leigh for a Pepsi and chocolate protein bar at 13 miles and then a further 4 miles to home. All good and not too taxing 🙂

Nice running everyone

Mine was a windy 10k race in 40:46 bit slower than I wanted but running into the wind from 3-6k approximately.Enjoyed the race though and definitely a possible course to run a PB on
