Careful study of weather charts allowed me to make best use of a strong WSW wind direct from N Wales. Turning at Hightown, I must admit I hid in the protection of the tall houses of Blundellsands. 11.2 miles of satisfying running.

6 mile recovery run in very breezy conditions. Not too much damage to the trees except for a few small ornamentals that had whipped into fracture.

Indoors. A proper junk interval session, with efforts that were too easy and recoveries that weren't easy enough, but there's no way I'm going to do proper speedwork on the treadmill until I'm confident of not getting spat off the back of the belt.
Followed by chish'n'fips for dinner

A pretty agreeable (despite indifferent weather) near eleven miles up a fair hill and onwards, half-country, half town.

Trail & beach combo, fighting a keen westerly wind with a side order of squally showers. 5.3 miles.

Awesome! 6 miles circling the track in Leicester with members of the West End Runners doing their weekly track session. A very hard workout and great company. Loved it!:-)
