Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Was supposed to be a 6 mile run today, but a railway bridge at 4.5 miles was closed for repairs, so we had turn round and go back the way we came. So ran 8.5 miles!!

Went for a part hilly trail part road run today. Some school kids shouted expletives at me as I ran past so I stopped and intimidated them for a brief 30s. I also rang their school when I got back to let the head teacher know that although boys are boys they would need to watch what they say and to whom they say it...they never know when they'll meet the very same person on an important job interview panel. Hehehe. I'm sure that will mean nothing to the little hooligans but it made me feel better.

Track session - 200, 400, 600, 800, 800, 600, 400, 200.

200's - av. 33 (Wanted 32's)
400's - av. 72 (Wanted 70's)
600's - av. 1:51 (Wanted 1:50)
800's - av. 2:31 (Wanted 2:28)

I'm not happy with the session today - however I never really run well round the track in icy, cold conditions. And I hate pyramid sessions - just an excuse for other athletes to do the last 200 flat out in 30 and provide themselves a false interpretation of their current ability. 7 miler tomorrow and looking forward to it!

9 miles of star lit solitary bliss. The crunch of frozen ground and the eyes of the night reflecting the beam of my head torch. Awesome :-)
