11 miles of much needed head space before the onslaught of pain in the butt people turned up at my house to start the gorging/TV/laying about fest. Hardly anyone around and felt like I could run forever - sadly I had to stop at 1 hour 32 or I would have got a b*ll*cking for not taking part in the festivities

A slowish parkrun (22-48) for me today, I had already suspected it wouldn't be my fastest having run 31 miles in the previous two days and running to parkrun my legs felt just as heavy as I'd thought they might. Anyway another one ticked off towards my 250

Slow 5 miles. Injured my right calf a few weeks ago and managed 2 x 3 mile runs last week, the first in a couple of weeks (1 x 5 miles before that) and it felt fine. 3 miles yesterday and 5 today just to see how I felt. Lost some fitness as I'm sluggish and it feels harder.

My cold has nearly ran its cause now - just a slight cough remains!
This was evident with my best run this week! 7.1 miles in 50 minutes and actually felt all right!

To continue the trend - it was slow. First run for two and a half weeks because of illness, but that aside, I've no doubt that it would still be have been slow. It always is on boxing day.l

THe Devil's Chair Dash, form Stiperstones Inn to The Devil's Chair (on the Stiperstones) and back. Just a brilliant, friendly, low key, sociable event. Loads of people there, for £3.00 you really aren't going to get much better. Spectators all along the course. It is a bit steep and rocky in places, but it's just a mint event.
