A fantastic 6.7 miles over Ampthill Park doing hill reps. Gorgeous views over Bedfordshire, and a calming sky after heavy rain. Blissful.

Very good, garmin-free, just me and the pavements.....rather enjoyable not obsessing over pace!

A week ago, in preparation for my 10k on Sunday, I tried a tempo run, got 2 and a bit of the 3 planned miles done at a pace I wasn't impressed with and blew up spectacularly, plodding home kicking myself.
Then I raced at the weekend and remembered I love running and I can actually run reasonably fast.
And tonight I nailed the tempo run and ran home head held high and grinning.:-)

A cold but nice and bright 20 minutes with the dog. First early morning run for a while. Nice.

Ran home last night - beautiful early evening sunshine for 6 miles....then the most torrential downpour for the last 3.5!! I literally fell through the front door, and the sun came back out! Great fun though, especially seeing the looks I was getting from people sheltering in various doorways.

Just over 8 miles / an hour again in the sunshine and being hit by a moderate SW wind. 2 other runners out and about. Plenty of lovely nurses etc at the hospital when I ran around it

A nice, slow, steady run along the canal, an old road, and old railway track beds (offchurch greenway) quite flat, but not quite boring, a little bit muddy in one or two places, but mostly very dry.
