Eight miles on a flat trail. The head torch made its first appearance of the autumn and caused much consternation to a passing cyclist who thought I was a car! I think it was my heavy breathing rather than my speed. Vigourous precipitation then turned the second half of the outing into a progression run. All good fun though.

surprising - 9.5 mile interval session with club and felt ok considering GNR on Sunday.

A very hard 15 miles this morning with Union. I've been on holiday for the last few weeks, and while I've done a bit of cycling, and a fair bit of swimming, I've clearly spent too long at the side of the pool, eating cake and not looking after myself!
Didn't help that it was wet and windy, but did give me an excuse to get out the running jacket I bought at the VLM Expo back in April.
Hope I've broken the back of it, and will be OK for Kilomathon on 3 October.

10+ miles in exactly 90 minutes. It was wet but surprisingly warm. Feel very boingy. Have I recovered from the Lakeland 50, at last?
