Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Toks, you've piqued my interest. What, precisely, is 'street jazz dancing'? Sounds like all of this dancing toks a toll, err, I mean takes a toll on your running. Maybe you can incorporate the dancing into your running, you know, a bit like intervals. You could run for a while, then break into frenetic street jazz dancing, then run for a while. Sounds like the perfect mix. ;-)

Sounds like a great idea Frank, I might try some street Jazz recoveries on my intervals :-)

Don't think I could sapw devices though, I get very attached to mine :-)

I'm running later - looks like nice weather again too...

I'd certainly question the accuracy of the calculations Rebel.

I don't particularly use zones too much. Painting in broad strokes I use the book formula for getting a value for 70% for example and then make sure I am either above it or below it depending upon what training I am doing.

Even the book formula has me training in higher zones than I want to be. If I go any slower I'll be walking. In fact, I thought I might go for a walk with my Garmin and see what zone it has me in.

Yeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaa!

Happy now. Did the Bury 20 course which even admits to being hilly in the RW listings. They obv knew they couldn't get away with undulating on that one.Total time 2 44 10 Av pace 8 12 & HR 139. there is a long hill around 18mile & once i'd cracked that & still felt ok did last mile in 7 46. Happier about Dublin now though acknowledge that last 10k is the hardest

Well done BM! I've done that course a couple of times and it has a couple of challenges in it :) I bet it's nicer at this time of year though, it's always bliddy freezing in Feb!
