Great Yorkshire Run. My first real mass start. I forgot my chip, so had to get issued with a new race number. Then I realised that I'd left my mobile in full view in the car at Meadowhall Car Park.
Got round in about an hour (PB was 1:05 so I've definitely beaten it)- probably won't know my chip time until they sort out the paperwork for the replacement chip.
Hit a dodgy bit of road about 3k in which knocked me off balance and left me running the rest of the race with a very sore calf muscle. Garmin clocked 10k at 59:51 just shy of the finish line, so I must have a sub-60 10k race in me.
What was welcome as I'm doing GNR training and ran 20k in training a couple of weeks ago was being able to up the pace at the end and pass a lot of people over the last 1500 or so.
Mobile wasn't nicked, btw. Leg is very sore though.

A painful 7 mile run
My glutes are aching from yesterdays workout & run and I didn't realise how much they affected running form. Shins were sore - feels like the early warning signs of shin splints
I kept backling under my own weight for the first 35 minutes. Then, out of nowhere my legs kind of came alive and the last 2 miles I was flying. Not really the plan as it was supposed to be a recovery run but faster was more comfortable

Supposed to be an 18 miler with a chum. I felt a bit jaded after 13 and was worried about a 'hot spot' forming on my right foot. Binned it after about 14. Was also pretty hilly.
What a doughnut, I left both my proper running socks and my Garmin 305 at work, hence the blister and not knowng any of the details (data) of the run. On the positives, my left ankle felt fine and whilst my legs were tired, my knees felt ok.
