WoooHooo - well done eL Bee!
I can't match that, but I did do my longest run ever today. A very hilly 20 miler in just under 3:03 - very pleased with that very close to target pace of 9 m/m but last hill put pay to that.
I NEED FOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

1st race this year (a hilly 5km round/to the top of the Great Orme) and 1st race with new club. Struggled a wee bit up the last climb (lack of races?), but really pleased with the result - 4th overall, but got trophy as 3rd under 40. Also met my 1st Fetchie, dpryce, who was instrumental in me going to the running club I joined

Howden 5K :-@
Although I’ve only been running a short while I expect most people will have never experienced a race quite like this one.
The route was poorly marshalled, there were missing direction markers (resulting in most people becoming hopelessly confused, lost and runners making up their own routes. We had runners who finished after running anywhere between 2 and 5 miles. The first runner home was confused when he saw a time of a little over 11 minutes (I guess he had done less than the 5K otherwise he is probably the fastest 5K runner on the planet!).
The actual course route was poor, as we ran through many crowds of people going to the Howden Show. The sprint finish was dangerous, with runners having to negotiate families and people queuing for the snack bars on the way to the finish line.

Shambolically enjoyable. First staging of a local 10k. Everyone got lost at 4k and then again at about 9k thanks to a lack of marshalling and signing, so no times given out or places. Runners were arriving at the finish from all directions. My legs were very tired from Wednesday's race, so I wasn't too distraught. Disappointed for a friend of my who was leading and sort of "won" but missed out on a winners medal and prize as the organisers abandoned the results. Scenic a challenging course which would be a good test. Hopefully things will be sorted out for next year.
