Surrey Phil Aug 2020 12:06am, 22 Aug 2020 4,663 posts	0 Surrey Phil A prayer request please. My 13-year old daughter has had a raised temperature for over a week and severe abdominal pains. She certainly has an infection but the doctors are trying to ascertain why she is getting the pains, which is making any movement difficult. Our local hospital transferred her to St George's, Tooting tonight. Thank you.

This morning's CT scan only took place in the past hour but has located a build up of fluid as the problem. This will be drained off by Monday and my daughter's temperature has also dropped - praise God! Apart from the draining, the only thing the doctors need to do is to locate the source of the infection so it does not reoccur.

She was diagnosed with primary peritonitis - a particularly nasty infection. Nearly all the infectious fluid has been drained off and she was discharged with two weeks-worth of antibiotics. Apart from being a tad pale and losing a little weight, she is definitely back to her usual self.
