Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Not seen Ron Hill do shoes before, are these new ?

2 models, one a trail shoe with 4mm lugs, and the other more like a fell shoe with 7mm lugs

Fell look more like distance trail shoes to me. They certainly donโ€™t look like racers

7mm lugs and 5mm drop sounds pretty good to me. Not sure how they would drain, though?

Not vey well with that big plastic rand all the way round would be my guess. They do look a bit heavy and clunky to be pure fell shoes.

295g for a mens size 8, apparently. Looks like they might have some use, although definitely a bit too heavy for racing for me. I'd try them if I saw them cheaper, at that price I'd just get another pair of iRocks.

I might be completely misremembering but when I ran cross country in my long-distance youth, I thought some of my schoolmates had Ron Hill fell trainers.

Top ten and a smile on his face for the offspring at Flower Scar. Nearly didn't make it due to illness in the week and train near-cancellations this morning.

There are finer spectator sports though! Still, managed to tick off a new parkrun, see an old Uni friend and spend some time with the offspring pre- and post-race, so a good day out. Glorious weather but I think there may have been just a touch of mud on the tops!

Were you at Centre Vale larkim?

I was meant to be running flower scar but the knee is still niggling so parkrun'ed and then photographed up on the moor.
